IRS help

An IRS notice is a process with rules. Bob knows the rules.

Audits, notices, proposed adjustments, balances, unfiled years, and state tax matters — handled by an Enrolled Agent federally authorized to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service.

How to send a notice safely

Please do not attach a notice, return, or anything containing a Social Security number to a general contact form or ordinary email. Call (631) 587-4949 and Bob will provide a secure upload link, or bring the letter to the office at The 1801 House, Argyle Square.

Examinations and audits

Correspondence, office, and field examinations: determining the scope, assembling only what is genuinely requested, and presenting the position with supporting documentation.

Notices and adjustments

Automated notices proposing changes to a return are often based on incomplete information. The response either corrects the agency's record or accepts the change on the right terms.

Balances and unfiled years

Reconstructing the record, filing what is outstanding, confirming what is genuinely owed, and pursuing the appropriate resolution channel for the balance.
